Built work

Founder-led, working or prototype project built by Malachi Mafo.

A market-opportunity platform that studies where businesses lose attention, trust and conversion, then turns those gaps into focused next actions.

01 / Brief

The gap before the pitch.

GapStudy is a founder-led business intelligence product exploring the distance between what a business presents and what a prospective customer needs to act.

02 / My role

Product concept and direction.

My existing contribution covers the product proposition and product direction. The interface shown is the actual saved project screen. Its example results do not demonstrate validated analysis accuracy or commercial outcomes.

03 / Design decisions

Make the analysis legible.

The interface groups business context, assessment and next actions. The new presentation gives that dense screen a complete browser frame and uses one headline to explain its purpose before the viewer reads the detail.

04 / Final work

Study → identify → propose.

The new campaign pairs the actual Radar interface with ‘Before you pitch a business, study the gap.’ A three-step diagram explains the intended workflow: study a business, identify conversion gaps and develop proposal angles. Both are portfolio explorations describing product intent, not guaranteed results.

05 / Reflection

Evidence before certainty.

The next improvement is to make the source behind each suggested gap easy to inspect and to distinguish observations from hypotheses. A useful proposal should let the person challenge the reasoning rather than simply accept a score.

The idea,
in application.

New portfolio exploration · 7 October 2026. HTML/CSS composition and browser export using existing project assets. Original typography and interface captures are retained. Not commissioned, published or user-tested.

Before you pitch a business, study the gap.

Explain the product’s purpose before asking the viewer to read a dense interface.

Design & production notes

A two-scale headline and violet marker frame the existing Radar screen. The full screen is preserved, including its example business results.

Produced with HTML/CSS layout and browser export. Existing project assets are used as supplied.

Review before presenting: Check the wording against your current product scope and verify the source behind every example. These are demonstration results, not proven commercial outcomes.

Study → identify → develop

Make the intended workflow understandable without relying on a product tour.

Design & production notes

Three equal columns separate observation, interpretation and a proposed next step. Numbering, repeated baselines and a restrained violet accent make the sequence explicit.

Produced with HTML/CSS layout and browser export. Existing project assets are used as supplied.

Review before presenting: Test whether someone can explain the sequence in their own words. Refine the boundary between an observed problem and a hypothesis; no user testing is claimed here.
